There was six of us in our car travelling to The Coombe Barton Pub in Crackington Haven Cornwall, UK, last night and we saw a huge orange ball travelling across the sky. I stopped the car and we just watched it. It was quite big even though it looked a way off and it came from west to east and it was bright orange with no visible trails of any colour behind it. The night was deathly quiet and there was no noise whatsoever for the duration of about 5 minutes where we just sat and watched it. It travelled across the sky in a straight line at speed and then changed direction and veered right and disappeared into the distance.
We thought it was a meteorite at first but it seemed to travel in a controlled manner which would rule out a shooting star or meteorite! We also thought of a private or military aircraft, but there was no sound at all even after the globe disappeared. Can't even come close to a rational explanation to this and there is nothing in the media about it yet?
If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.
