A few nights ago I took my dog out about 9:00pm. I saw a red glowing light in the sky heading in my direction. It was going quickly and seemed to get larger as it approached me. It went straight over my house. I came inside to get my camera, but it had gone when I got back out. There was no sound at all, it travelled far too quickly for a Chinese lantern and certainly wasn't a plane. It was heading from the south to north.
It was actually a beautiful sight as it glowed with such a deep red colour. I contacted Nick Pope via talk sport last night regarding this and he had no explanation at all, except maybe a Chinese lantern and I know it wasn't that! Any ideas? I live in Sheffield.
